Good news: I'm able to get a new work computer (workstation) to properly drive 64bit ST4.
Bad news: Our contractor IT guy specified the machine w/o allowing engineering input. It came in today and has two(!) Nvidia Quadro NVS420 cards in it. (The combination could drive up to 8 video devices at 2560 x 1600.)
In looking at the Siemens site for approved/tested video cards, this one is not listed. Furthermore, the spec. for a Dell T7500 workstation calls this a video card for "Professional 2D". So far, I'm not impressed with my IT guy's acumen.
The video adapter cables are DisplayPort and of course I have 2 DVI LCDs, so I can't really test this machine out yet.
Just wondering what folks thought of the video cards in particular? Worth firing up, or should I just get the whole machine returned straight-away?
Thanks.
