New WPS with the same PQR

Thanks for the answers:
We have a WPS for 3G position, I can generate WPS to position 1G and 2G with the PQR of the first WPS. We are using the same material.

1G, 2G and 3G etc. are designations applicable only for positions during qualification. Use F, V, H and O for production work WPSs.

You make no mention of what welding standard applies. That usually does make a difference. You also fail to say whether you have an acceptable PQR to support the initial WPS or any additional WPSs.

In general, you can develop more than one WPS based on the same PQR provided all the requirements of the applicable welding standard are met. One can also use more than one PQR to support a single WPS.
