I know the pH of a mine pond (3.6) and I have a good estimate of the pond volume (168000 C.F.). Can someone help me determine the amount of Hydrated Lime Ca(OH)2 I need to to treat the water so that I can discharge it at a target pH of at least 6.0?
If it helps, the mine pond was created from strip mining coal that contained pyritic sulfur.
Thanks.
