I work for a Custom Automation Machine Builder.

We are currently using Acces 97 as our Db. YES ITS TRUE haha.

Its only a matter of time before it explodes so im looking into other alternatives.

seems to be the best choice thus far. The fact that its free is pretty big 2 haha.

Its open source. We use this for all Job/Assemblies/Part/Material tracking Routings, etc etc.

Does anyone know if this is a good Db to use? Does anyone else use this db simliarly? or if u use a dif db similarly please let me know what u use.

Thanks

I've happily used mySQL for some time. It seems to be stable, reliable and fast. Be aware of the difference between the versions:

I've some experience with mySQL and would have no objections to using it again.
