Management wants to relocate small process plant with a number of pressure vessels to different location. All vessels will be in exact same service. They also want to inspect all vessels via API 510 before re locating.
another prevailing thought being proposed is the vessels should be inspected after re location. Not sure if this would come under 579 FFS since service is exactly the same.
Just seeking the wisdom and input available via eng-tips
Thanks,
Lee

IMO, API 510 and API 579 are for two different purposes. It's the Mgmt decision if the vessels to be inspected either before or after relocation and types of inspections, which may involve the issue of the project cost center.

Will the pressure vessels be moved to a different State ???

Changing locations may change the wind or seismic loading also.

to MJCronin (Mechanical)
Vessels will be in same state. Actual less than a mile from current location
Thank you
