Question: at what lower value of pitch does a roof cease to be properly considered as a mono-slope roof, and instead be considered a flat one in a wind context? Chapter 28 of ASCE 7-10 (page 239) includes a grey box "User Note" that establishes that the Envelope Procedure/Part 1 is for buildings with flat, gable or hip roof. Mono-slope is not included. I have a roof with 1.19 degree slope (0.25:12 pitch), one-way. I am inclined to consider this to be a flat roof, but would like this cleared up. I did not find anything in the definitions in chapter 26. Thx.
