Hi all,
I'm using SAP2000 v20, and I'm using area shell-layered elements to model a pavement with two layers of reinforcement. Non-linear material properties are used to model behavior under temperature changes, concrete creep, and shrinkage effects. In the output table, I observed that the shell-layered element shows no effects of creep and shrinkage. Is this something default for SAP2000?
To confirm I was following the correct procedure I also tried the same with area shell-thin and frame elements and found both time-dependent properties to be working correctly. I'm confused about why it isn't working for shell-layered elements and wanted to know if someone else had also experienced this. If yes, can you please suggest if you were able to work around this problem?
Thank you!
