A new process has caused concern for poisoning existing processes that use the same fluid source. To combat poisoning the other processes with quat, we've shown natural zeolite to work like a champ for quat removal. Lab studies show zeolite to shed metals as well (Na+; Ca2+; K; and much much more), which could spell more trouble than the quat. We've attempted the Amberlyst 15 regen beads (Rohm Haas) to remove the metals we've put in. Results are still pending. Might there be any suggestions on how to limit/remove the metals in the system?
