Mc Coy in concert in Toulouse

Heard so much about him in this forum that I will attend !
Mc Coy : I'm sure there are some low cost flights from Italy to Toulouse !
Leaving this evening for 3 weeks of holidays

That might be an occasion to practice some abstinence from work.

Also, on a european tour he might fly over to Italy.

To say I'm jealous would be an understatment. Please write us a "review". Oh, I'm green . . . Hope you enjoyed it.

On a sad note, Abbey Lincoln just passed away, age 80. She was married to Max Roach; was an actress and had quite a nice recording career. She did an album with Stan Getz (his second to last album before he joined Heaven's All Star Band) called "You Gotta Pay The Band" - back in the early 90s. More releases since then. A distinctive voice.

Abbey Lincoln was a very sophisticated singer, saw her 20 years ago in my place.

BigHarvey, Mccoy is touring Europe with his trio, he might even be hosting the saxophonist Joe Lovano and so you're in for a whole lot of fun!

He's regarded by many as the best and more complete piano player around, total virtuoso, distinctive style, very good taste, presently chasing total perfection.

We have strikes in the oil refineries due to the new laws about retirement plans in France. I'll have enough gas to reach Toulouse but maybe not enough to come back to Bordeaux but I will not miss the concert !I'll report on monday.

It was a great time, even for a non-specialist like me ! Very good quartet with Gary Bartz, Gerald Canon and Eric Kaman Gravatt with lots of very good solos. It seemed a short time but it was one and half hours anyway . Standing ovation at the end !
