mazak laser fms loading concerns

After loading a sheet of metal on the laser worktable the workpushers try to move the metal into the zero/zero corner of the worktable but the suction cups are sliding on the metal. We are having this problem on several gauges of metal from 10 to 18. anyone have any ideas. It is a Laser Fms Fab Shop Type A.
