Matlab books ???

I am looking for a good Matlab book.
Not one bound with a subject like numerical analysis or signal processing.

My ideal book would be a listing of all the functions by category with no more than a two sentence blurb about the purpose. No extra fluff just a guide to point you to the help page that you need.

I seriously gave though to pdf printing the help files to make my own but I gave up on that quickly enough.

Something to browse over instead of the help files.

Anybody know of such a book.

That would be a great idea for a textbook.

I use "Essential Matlab for Scientist and Engineers" by Hahn and Valentine. It doesn't list every function and what they do, but it does list programming topics and how they can be performed in Matlab.

I would recommend Duane Hanselman's "Mastering Matlab". Duane is a regular poster to CSSM, so he's fairly available for questions.

Perhaps I don't get it, but isn't that exactly what the help file is for?
How will a book offer any benefit?
