In drawing a wooden shipping crate I have applied material as "pine," it looks wonderful, but, the grain is running the wrong way on some of the boards. I know this is just a picky cosmetic thing but is there a way to rotate this? I see where I can rotate items such as hatch but have not seen a way to rotate a material texture.

Are you talking about a photoworks material or a solidworks texture? If it's a photoworks material, then you can go to the Mapping Tab in the FeatureManager and modify it there, under size/orientation. If it's a texture, then there's an angle orientation slider right under the texture selection in the FeatureManager.

I was a material that I just changed to a texture instead. The slider works great. I couldnt figure out how to rotate the material (not even sure if it was a photoworks material or not.)

There is slider that controls angle. That is how you determine the location of the grain. If it doesn't line up the way you want it. Try using the face versus the body.
