Hello all,
We just received a shipment of FR4 boards (1/4" thk) from our supplier. The boards are about 11"x31" with a rectangular hole pattern of 48 holes (4x12). Almost 80% of the holes show delamination around their edge.
Now, my QA wants to reject the parts because of concerns of water/moisture ingestion, while the supplier insists that the drawing sent to him says nothing about delamination.
Indeed, the drawing does not mention anything about delamination, but I sided with the QA simply because a delaminated part is not acceptable and will not withstand the heat and vibration of its operating environment.
Is there is any specs or data sheet that specifies a limitation on the delaminated area or the effect of the delam on the performance of the board? Thanks,
