Hello Friends

I just started working on Microsoft Project

My question is if I want to link Project to any other tool like Execl.....

I just want to create Execl files from my project but I want to know after that if I modify/delete/insert any row in shhet will it affect the project because it might happened that column id might change by adding or droping a row

Please send me your views or suggestion to solve this problem

The reason I want to do this is because We have so many people who dnt know Project and they dont have project installed on their PC. So we want to transfer project in to Excel Sheet and let them play and save changes back to project

From MS-Project(2000) you can 'save-as' MS-Excel workbook.

Edit the values / info in the cells (in Excel), save (normal)

In Project hit file, 'open' (under file type select Excel workbook), select your file. It'll ask what type of report you want.

It's not entirely seamless, task hierarchy, dependancies, links, etc. all suffer.

If you've sent out multiple .xls sheets for people to edit, merging them back together could be tricky. If you 'route' a single sheet through people (one to the next) it may be easier on your end.

It may be best to kick out the .xls sheets, have people update them and then manually update your .mpp file.
