Leadscrew Design 2

I'm looking at using a small leadscrew in an application I am developing. However, this is my first time using a leadscrew in a design. Are there any references, guides, spreadsheets, etc. that can be recommended? My primary concern is the torque required to drive the nut for a given load on the leadscrew within a certain time period.

Any machine design book will address these issues. I suggest the Machinery's Handbook. Threads per inch will set the torque according to the load. The more threads, the less torque required, but the faster you must rotate to maintain linear speed. A thread is merely an inclined plane wrapped around the diameter, and the less threads per inch, the steeper the incline, the more torque needed.
