Hi I am new to SW coming from Catia v5. I am trying to find out if SW has layers or levels in the 3D space area of the program. I can only find info about detail drawings etc. which is of no use to me.
SW is the only CAD program I have seen in 30 years that seems to not have layers in 3D design area. I hope I am just missing something. An example of what I am trying to do: supplied metal stamped part on layer 1: skin surface - (1 side of metal) layer 2; then set lay 3 to design surface work for die on. If there is not a layer system, how do you do this? Thank you in advance for any advice anyone can provide on this.

No layers in modeling. I thought this was a problem when I started SW. Turns out it's no big deal once you adapt. Other visibility management tools are available.

Recently did a stint in NX with a lot of people coming over from SW. Funny how layers confused them.

I'd rather have no layers than Creo's layer scheme.
