Irregular Platform Clip Vessel Stress

I have been requested to analyze the design of a clip that is situated at the intersection of the top of a stiffening ring and the vessel. Please see attached image. WRC-537 is too conservative in this case and fails since no support from the ring is taken into account; however, I do not want to to go full FEA on a platform clip if I can help it. Any suggestions for how to analyze this clip?

Sorry (actually, I'm not sorry), but you are stuck with doing an analysis. There is no simplified method to do what you want.

You can easily spend more time trying to figure a work-around for a FEA than it would take to run an adequate FEA.
