Installing Visio Standard 2007 over Pro 2007

This thing is givign me a pain!

I installed Visio 2007 Professional TRIAL version. After the Trail expired, I un-installed it and bought a copy of Visio 2007 Standard version.
Now I am unable to install the full 20007 Stanadard version, and it gives the message that 2007 is installed.

2007 is not installed anywhere. I first tried to re-install the trial version, but it wouldn't install and said the fiel was corrupted, even though it was a nice exe I had downloaded. Them I removed Office and cleaned up the complete registry of anything that would contain visio, and it still gives the same message.

I have really no idea, and am cursing MS like anything.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of freeware and shareware uninstall utilites like Quick Uninstall or Add/Remove Cleaner that might help.
