As per My experience, Seismic Loads can be considered as Lateral Force.
According to Seismic Code, we can take Lateral Forces and consider Overturning Moments with it in Tower Design.
I am performing design of Stack as per ASME STS code.(ASME-STS-1 2011 steel stacks)
I understand this code for Stack Design except for Seismic Response.
If anyone can do, please send me sample calculations of it.
or Please inform any reference for my study.
Seismic Response : It seems related to Vibration during Earthquake. As per my experience, I just considered Seismic as Lateral Force for the Pressure Vessel Support or Vessel Design.
But, This code requests Vibration Analysis due to Earthquake Motion. From Appendix of ASME, I cannot understand anymore!!
Please help.
Thank you in advance.
