Information on Rofin RF 040/ RF 050 1

I was wondering if anybody from the European Market has used the Rofin RF 040/ RF 050 and what kind of experiences/sucess have they had in the process. Is it good for thick material? thin? Strengths? Weakness?

Rofin makes a lot of noise with their Diffusion Cooled (Slab Laser) out here in the States, primarily on the Cincinnati CL-707. But I have not heard anything on the above mentioned resonator.

I used to work for Rofin in the early to mid-90's. When I left for another position with a different company, the 020 was the first of this line and had not been released for sale yet. This unit had incredible beam quality, low gas consumption, closed resonator (improving optic life) and a compact design.
Just thought I'd let ya know about the "hopes" for that product line. If the 020 was a good product, I can say that the 040 and 050 are as well. Rofin does not like to tarnish their image.
Now, before I sound like a Salesman, my position with them was as a "Field Service Engineer." I did not work much on the cutting systems, mostly the transverse flow CO2 welding systems.

Yes, yes they did! As well as the rest of the 8XX line. Finally ended up in a plant with about 20 975 Spectras and a half dozen 850's. This kept me busy for my remaining 2-2.5 years with RS.
