Has anyone had anything like this happen to them:
I recently took and passed the IL PE. My experience is in bridge design, including hydrolics and approach roadway work. I passed the exam in October, but according to the IDPR I may not be able to recieve a IL PE because I have structural experience.
All of the other people who took the exam and passed in October have recieved their license. But mine has to go to board review to see if they will allow me to recieve the licensure.
I have nothing against the separation of PE and SE, but having experience in both fields should allow one to be licensed in both fields. But it appears like that may not be the case.
Why do they offer the structrual depth portion of the exam, if they do not want people with structural experience to obtain a PE?
