I can't seem to find a formula on the web for sizing the I beam I want to use to carry the trolley and chain hoist for my new shop at home. The hoist will carry 2000 lbs max and the support points are ten foot on center. Four support points over thirty feet. One at each end and two at ten foot intervals. My support points are engineered for 3000 lbs each, 5000 lbs. at the door. What size should my I beam be? edosan
