Greetings,

I had the opportunities to work on protection schemes and control schematics upto 33kV mainly for Industrial applications in Oil and Gas and other industrial sectors. My company is starting to move towards the design of HV System (69kV, 132kV) Protection schemes. I never worked on these voltage levels before. I am interested in know the major areas where I shall focus at these voltage levels from where I can start to design or at least modify existing schemes.

Thanks

The biggest differences will be the use of distance relays and line distance relays.

I think David meant line differential relays?

If you have never worked with these before then I hope your company has someone experienced in these fields as the philosophies and practices applicable to distance and line diff relays are not learned overnight. I would recommend an experienced protection engineer to mentor you.
