How to initialize a frame in Level-2 M-file S-function

How to initialize a frame in Level-2 M-file S-function when using simulink to processing video. I need to set a initialized background frame, but I don't know how to set it in my own M-file S-function.
And if i want to update a frame in my function, can I pass the matrix to Dwork? If not, how can I do that?
