There's roughly 1120 watts/m^2 of solar energy hitting the upper atmosphere.

IRstuff is right the solar heat radiation at the ground is nearly 1000 W/m^2. For more information visit the German website getting a fine overwiew of the radiation spectrum of the sun and a top-50 solar-energy-link-site.

Hi,

Any English webpage related on this subject that you know? I am interested in solar energy concept and would like to learn more from internet "I am convinced that ATTITUDE is the key to success or failure in
almost any of life's endeavors. "

We are talking about technical data here (Tables and so on). An English data-table is like a German - perhaps the units will be different. If there are problems to understand, You should download a free German-English (D->E) and English-German (E->D) wordbook (QuickDic 5.2) at

(University of Hamburg-Bergedorf) to look for the main expressions.
