I have 2 kind of powders (SiC and Al2O3) mix together become nano-composite powder.
Powders used were alumina/silicon carbide (Al2O3/SiC) nanocomposite powders. Ultra fine SiC powder and High purity Al2O3 were mixed in distilled water for 24 hours with Alumina balls, then the mixture was filtered and subsequently washed with distilled water to take out alumina balls. The washed mixture was sprayed by EYELA spray dryer SD-1000, received Al2O3/SiC nanocomposite powders.
That powder will be used as feedstock of plasma spray machine. When operating, I saw that speed of powder was not stable. I do not know why?
May be the size of particle of powder was too small, and lack of binder.
I thinhk I can increase particle size of powder by adjust parameters when operating Spray drying machine (such as: temperature, pressure...).
But I don't know how pressure influence particle size of powder when spray drying.
If anyone know this problem, please show me. I really need.
Thank you alot.
