How much rain and/or time can concrete take between pours?

The home in question was built on a monolithic slab. The pouring began on a hot summer day. The first load of concrete was poured, but only finished about half of the slab. During the wait for the next load, a rainstorm blew up, and the slab was not covered with plastic before getting soaked (approximately a half an inch of rain). Some four hours after the initial pour ended, the remainder of the slab was poured and finished. With nothing else done to the slab, the home was built on top.

What is the best case scenario? What is the worst case scenario? Can the home be fixed?

The rain was probably the best thing that happened. Assuming good bond between the older and newer concrete, no significant problems should be evident, that is, beyond what you normally get with residential concrete.

Residential concrete placement is typically the worst in construction! You can expect high shrinkage, tile bond problems, even tile buckling due to excessive shrinkage.
