Hot to increase/decrease distance 1

How can I set the distance from the object to the Dimension Extension line (normally a few mm)?

Which version are you using? This will help alot because each version is different.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.

According to the help abput I am using version. 8.05.01.25 (V8 2004).

First click on the dimensioning tool, the element dimensioning tool box opens. Next to the word style you will see a magnifying glass, click on it and the dimension styles dialog box opens, Click on extention lines. This will allow you to set the offset.
