Hole Callout # of Instances not Accurate When Mirrored? 1

I've noticed when I use the hole callout to annotate a set of holes on a drawing, the callout on the number of instances only reflects the holes in the original hole wizard operation. If I then mirrored those holes, it seems like the hole callout should add the total number of mirrored holes to the number of instances, but it doesn't.

If I try to attach a hole callout annotation to one of the mirrored holes, Solidworks pops up a message indicating that it correctly recognizes I've already placed a callout for that series of holes, yet the hole instance count is still wrong, only counting the holes in the original operation. Why does it behave this way, and is there a way to fix it?

I've seen the same thing. I believe it counts the number of sketch points used to create the holes and not the holes themselves. If you mirror the sketch points, it'll behave as expected.

You are correct. Similarly if you did the same hole size within two separate hole wizard features, the hole callout would not group them. The best method is to create all of the holes in a single hole wizard feature. Utilize sketch patterns and relations within the hole wizard point location sketch.

Pretty good with SolidWorks

Thanks, I'll try to start doing that.
