I have a really bad copy of an article from way back when called "Predict storage-tank heat transfer precisely",
by Jimmy Kumana and Samir Kothari - published in
March 1982 issue of Chemical Engineering magazine.

The copy I have I can't even read some of the tables. I have no luck finding in my local public or university library as they don't keep mag that far back. If someone here have a good copy of that paper, can they share an e-copy of that with me?

Thanks IRStuff. I contacted the fella and asked. Let's see what happens.

If that doesn't work you could try an interlibrary loan from your local/university library or go straight to the british library who hold copies of just about everything. Think the US library of congress does the same?

Thanks Hamish for your suggestion. I'd try that this later.

Sheiko, Thanks for your kind offer. If you don't mind posting it here then that would be great. I'm sure many folks would like to have that too. I think it is the best article on tank heat transfer ever written. I've size a few tank heaters before but never so detailed. I plan to program the whole process since I got a lot of time on my hands now.

Hello everybody:

AllHandlesTaken, well done; thanks for your contribution.

AllHandlesTaken,

THANK YOU very much for your help.:)

Wow, I can read the tables. Nice.

Somebody might want to pull this thread to avoid possible copyright issues...
