Heavier engine affect rear end?

I have resently fitted a larger engine to my 4wd (light weight alloy petrol to large heavy diesel), increasing the front end compression on the coil springs. The car now feels a little 'sloppy' in the rear end and I can only imagine that this is due to the heavier front end. All mechanical components are in good condition and not in question.

Is this the case? I'm liking this to a bull whip, where any cornering energy is concentrated onto the rear end.

Do you think that heavier rated springs on the front will fix this?

Heavier spring rate and correct spring length to bring ride height back to OEM spec will fix it.

It has nothing to do with Bull Whipps. It has to do with changes to virtually every aspect of suspension geometry due to change of ride height.
