My problem is to esimate the rate (mass per hour) of water vapour that will naturally condense on to a square meter of stainless steel which is at -15 to 0 degrees centigrade. Ai temperature is 25-35 gegrees C. The stainless steel is a vessel wall insulated with jointed polyurethane (50 mm thick) and clad with aluminium. There is no vapour barrier. It would be usefulto express the condensation rate as a function of steel temperature and humidity/relative humidity.

Hi Stan - likely no response becase you are missing: Temperature and humidity inside, temperature and humidity outside, flow (i.e., laminar boundary conditions) at each surface, and an R value of the wall composite.

Basically, the condensation rate is variable based on the volume flow against the vessel, the conditions of the impacting air, and the surface temperature of the vessel (whether that is the 0-15°, or otherwise). Can you clarify this a little? Tx. -CB
