HDPE breakage change

We have molded a part from HDPE w/ foaming agent for years. We changed the design (and tooling) and processing to HDPE with nitrogen gas assist. Now we are are having what appears to be brittle failure under impact loading. Can anyone suggest a cause or direction of investigation? This part is on the critical path of a new product introduction.
