My company has recently aquired this package and we are analyzing a structure that appears to have a singularity. The intersection of interest is a rectangular shape with w4x13's on the perimeter with several cross beams. a cross beam intersects the perimeter at 90 degrees at a location along the beam of 20" at 19.11" there is a column, w4x13, welded to the perimeter beam as well. when solving for code, there is an abnormally high moment that causes the sub 1" member to fail due to moment about the axis the perimiter beam lies upon. the increase in moment is a factor of 10 compared to the other attached members. i made a test model to move the location of the intersection so essentially make the beams hit further apart and the moment does decrease. the project i am on, i moved the intersection to be concurrent and the moments are even across the perimiter. what does Strudl have to counter this event, or is it just something to watch for when modeling a structure?

thanks

The CASE center in Atlanta does excellent support for GTSTRUDL. You should contact them and send your model so they can debug your problem.
