Good advanced steel book

Can anybody recommend a good structural steel book? I have S&J and Englekirk, but am looking for something that gets very deep into underlying theory. For example, the origin of the h/tw ratios in Chapter B of the Manual.

Can anyone recommend Galambos' book?

I've heard that McGuire (or somebody with a similar name) has a good book like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Salmon and Johnson are the authors of a very good steel book.

I believe the Galambos book you are referring to is Guide to Stability Design Criteria for Metal Structures. If you are looking for information on buckling, it goes much further in depth than most books and covers topics that are not adequately addressed in the codes. AISC also publishes lecture notes by Yura & Helwig that are useful.
