I'm looking for a little guidance:
I want to create a generic retaining wall schedule that I can use for smaller projects in the SF bay area up to 8'-0" or so. Worst case assume Clay, sandy clay, silt and sandy silt, SDC E, Site class D:
Bearing 1500 PSF
Passive 100 PCF
Active ????
Seismic ????
How do you determine a 10H or 8H wall for seismic; what would be most conservative value? What would be the most conservative value for an active pressure?
