yOU CAN GET THE DIAMETER OF A GEAR IF YOU KNOW THE NUMBER OF TEETH PROVIDED THAT YOU ALSO KNOW THE DIAMETRAL PITCH, OR METRIC MODULE. LOTS OF BASIC MECHANICAL DESIGN TEXTBOOKS HAVE THE EQUATIONS YOU NEED. A GOOD CATALOG, SUCH AS BOSTON GEAR'S, WILL ALSO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO ANSWER A QUESTION LIKE THIS ONE.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT GEARS, CONSULT A GOOD GEAR REFERENCE FRO AUTHORS LIKE DUDLEY, OR BUCKINGHAM, OR OTHERS.

TO GET THE GEAR OUTSIDE DIAMETER DIVIDE THE (NUMBER OF TEETH + 2) BY THE DIAMETRAL PITCH.

For technical info see handbooks such as the Machinery's Handbook (Industrial Press). It has just about everything you need to know about gearing.

Web sites with gear info are:

This is probably the best technical link

Good Luck.
