FRP PIPE SPECIFICATION

A client's specification regarding FRP pipe and fittings reference requirement for DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry)testing. First time I have encountered such testing requirement. Is this test common or some rarely used test??
Appreciate any comments and thank you for your attention regarding this matter. I have also posted on Polymer forum.
