I have been on a self-appointed project (one of the advantages of being semi-retired)
Last week came across this website

These books are written specifically for the Hong Kong area, but many appear to have a lot of useful generic information. Have downloaded what look like the 17 best, assembled the individual chapters into complete .pdf books and posted the lot in our Library at

You are better informed on these subjects than I am, please let me know if they are worthwhile.

great job, SlideRuleEra,
it sure is a diversified list of topics, I'm going to browse the foundations manual first and let you know.

I've quite a few of the HK manuals - the slope one is quite good (I've a hard copy). Remember that they are typically in residual soils and rock - lots of slope problems in rainy season. In fact, they have been able to 'estimate' the number of slope failures in the 'colony' based on the rainfall data. Good job SRE! Someday, I'd like to find out how you keep track of all your URLs.
