Formulas for Pneumatic Conveyance

I had a question regarding the forumlas in Perry's for pnuematic conveyance. Does system capacity (kg/hr) refer to the solids, gas, or both? And what happens if the nomographs don't have the values for your system (e.g., the numbers are lower than the lowest point on the nomograph)?

dhox, Mass flow refers to product flow. If your from the old school with a background in Engineering Graphics, you can extrapolte/interpolate the curves to the lower levels. Otherwise I'm going to have to teach you what used to be covered in engineering fundamentals. For the next semester or quarter, which ever is being used these days.
