I am part of a university racing team. I am in charge of designing the intake system for our car and am debating what kind of throttle valve will produce the least amount of losses in our intake system. Assume there is negligible flow blowage.
I am considering a butterfly valve vs a rotating shaft with a hole in it (don't know technical name).
Also, does anyone know where I can get design or performance information for diffusers, expanding ducts, and full venturi design literature ONLINE or secondly on print.
