Is there a feature in MS Project 2003 that would allow me to create deadlines or constraints that are dependant on the completion of other tasks, not date specific?

Exp...I must send out a notice to proceed 180 days after the pre-constuction contract has been signed. I want to be able to move the contract signing date and have the NTP move as well. Thereby floating the deadline to match.

Thanks

sound like a milestone (not deadline) task (0 duration) that is linked via timing constraints to other tasks. As the other tasks move, so will the milestone task.

That's what the predessor column is for

Say your Contract Signing is on line 1. The predessor for the NTP line would then be something 1FS+180, which means line 1 finish to start of this line + 180 days. Since contract signing is usually a milestone with zero duration, as might be the NTP, 1SS+180, 1FF+180, 1FS+180 would all result in the same thing.

Thanks TygerDawg

Your suggestion seems to have cleared my issue up. I appreciate it.
