Flange face repairs

I have a pressure vessel that has corrosion damage on the sealing face. The flange face damage is not severe enough to warrant a replavement flange, we are planning on welding ou the corrosion damage and machining the face,

The fabrication company have provided a weld procedure for V butt welds for welding new flanges to the nozzles, nozzle is A105 GrB & flange is A105N. Will this procedure cover weld repairs to the flange face?

Consult API 510 to see whether the submitted documentation meets the requirements of your specific application re PWHT avoidance, Charpy testing etc.
