FireGL vs. Quadro graphics.

Choosing a graphics card is one of the biggest decisions to make when working in CAD. What are the pros and cons of the two families (for say, a mid range card for no specific CAD software)?

from memory I think firegl is what I remember as being the best....but it wouldnt be the first time I been wrong.
