Fillet weld preheat 2

We have an AWS qualified CS(P1 to P1)WPS,without preheat.
We have 40 to 50 mm CS base material that requires 10mm fillet welds on 2 sides. Required preheat for this thickness
is per Table 3.2, 150F / 65C. Can I use the qualified AWS WPS (without preheat)to weld these fillets, preheating as required for the thickness, or must I qualify another WPS
with the required preheat.

Recommended for you

Preheat can always be increased from the minimum that was qualified. I would preheat according to Table 3.2, and use the AWS qualified procedure.
 
Preheat isn't typically WPS-dependent, if nothing else because the plate thickness on your WPS may not be the same thickness as your piece.
