Can anyone explain why my excel table goes out of scale when I modify it in the draft enviroment in SE. I am using SE V10 and have patch version 5.

Sorry I don't have an answer, just a suggestion:
The latest patch for V10 is Update 8 although the
update 8 notes do not say anything regarding your
problem, perhaps update 6 or 7 addressed this issue?

Microsoft limit the amount of their software which can be used in 'others' software

Its not too stable using Excel in SE as some PC setups cope better than other I have found.
I have been told this is due to slight variations in software 'builds'

Basically Excel dont paste in too good ! Milkboy

For reasons unknown, the behavior of an Excel spreadsheet in Draft depends on the monitor display resolution you are using. When I had mine set to 1024 x 768 the spreadsheet would not display correctly, but changing to 1280 x 1024 fixed it. We reported the problem to Solid Edge a while back, but it looks like no fixes have been made.

Excel does not work well in any application. With the latest release of Solid Edge (V14), it now works as well as it does embedded in another Office app. There are certain rules you need to follow when placing it in Edge and these same rules apply to using it in other Office products as well.

To place it on a draft and have it editable (add rows or columns) later, you must create a excel file on disk. Use the insert object from file command, place it either linked or not. If it is not linked, you can delete the file from disk if not needed.

Both Insert Object New and Copy and Paste will paste the current data or the selected data on the page, but you will not be able to add rows or columns later.
