Hello,
I'm new in that forum so maybe somewhere such discussion already started.
My problem is how to adjust sweeping rate for environmental tests like Sinusoidal Vibration, RF or AF Susceptibility and so on.
From my engineering experience if I want to indicate any influence of an environment excitation it is necessary to "stay" on each frequency (e.g. sinusoidal vibration) for the time which is equal EUT respnse time. For example if my receiver need 15 seconds to perform selected test under dedicated condition I must add that minimum 15 seconds for each frequency step. In the other way with too fast sweeping I will skipp sensitive frequency and will never indicate any susceptibility.
In section 20.3.e I found such recommendation that EUT characteristics shall be considered when sweep/ step rate is estimated, but for Vibration I can't find.
Am I correct that not all MOPS dedicated for given section shall be tested on all RF frequency?
From my point of view if MOPS specifies set of tests which needs e.g. 25 minutes, it is not practical to test all on every frequency point.
In such cases I want to select most sensitive test as susceptibility monitor (detector) which will monitor EUT performance continuously and after detecting any susceptibility all required tests shall be perofrmed.
With best regards, Marek
