Hello NX experts,

We are having difficulties with the Parts List when updating the attribute information from our assemblies, in which numerous drawings are being affected. The issue is that when the parts lists are updated, sometimes the exact same parts will separate onto two different rows, while the total of the quantities is correct. For example, the following occurs:
Quantity Part Number
12..........X
10..........X
32..........Y
76..........Z
In this example, the quantities of Part Number "X" should have been 22 instead of separating the same part onto two different rows with the first having a quantity of "12" and the second having a quantity of "10".
After researching the assemblies, we discovered that where this error is occurring is when the part's quantity fields are indicating a concatenated string of the quantity and the part description. For example, a part's quantity field might display "1 SCREW" for 3 identical parts, while the rest display just "1" correctly for each part having the same identical part number.

If you have possible theories or solutions, can you please let me know?

Thank you very much ahead of time for your assistance.

Like Didier pointed out, the most likely cause is the key field in your parts list.
You need to make sure that there is only one key field and that it is set for the unique column, in your case the one displaying your part number.

I made a video a while back on parts lists, it covers what the key field is and how it works:
