I have an 1/8” thick Teflon rectangular plate clamped on one end as shown in the diagram. It’s inside a vibrating fluidized bed dryer. The air flow (~ 300 SCFM) and vibration make it flex and wobble which aids getting the wet granules that impact to slide off into the main bed of particles. (The original plate allowed so much sticking that it would plug the inlet while the new plate limits accumulation to the size to silver dollar pancakes before they break loose and slip off.)
What would one change about the plate or placement of air flow to increase the vibration and/or flexing, to further reduce the time particles are adhered to the surface, without the plate folding under the stress. (use the link to see the feed plate configuration)
I have the freedom to redesign the fixed edge configuration to a wire or rope and have a source of additional gas. Wondered if it could be made to wave and snap like a flag?
