1. Lining is required to place in the base of a mine waste rock fill of 10 m high and a slope of 3:1.
Commercial product specifications are available. From an engineering point of view what are the main parameters to consider to choose among various products?

2. What would be a desirable alongation to break?

Thank you.

cvg, many thanks for the feedback. As well, do you regard the "alongation to break" as a decision making factor? If so how a geotechnical engineer relates the value for the "elongation to break" to the embankment slope stablity/settlement analysis? Thank you.

depends on the amount of differential settlement. if you expect a lot, than specify a meterial with higher elongation at break
